Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Noon has also completed training at
the New York Lighthouse Low Vision Services, The Cotting School
for Handicapped Children in Boston, Massachusetts, and The Veterans
Administration Medical Services in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Noon practiced
general optometry with an emphasis on low vision rehabilitation
in a large Arizona ophthalmology practice for 13 years before
leaving to establish a full-time low vision practice. She frequently
lectures to her peers regarding vision rehabilitation and is often
interviewed for articles and news stories regarding vision rehabilitation.

Dr. Noon helps
her patients enhance their remaining vision with special low vision
eyeglasses and custom microscopic and telescopic low vision aids.
She also recommends other optical and non-optical low vision aids
as well as low vision services. With the help of Dr. Noon and
her staff, patients will learn how to perform their daily tasks
despite a visual impairment so that they can enjoy life and remain
independent.
Kevin M. Huff
O.D.
Dr.
Kevin Huff practices low vision optometry at the Viewfinder Low
Vision Resource Centers. He was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ.
Dr. Huff earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of Arizona. He completed his optometric degree at the Southern
California College of Optometry. Dr. Huff also completed training
in Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Southern Arizona Veterans
Administration Healthcare System in Tucson, Arizona and at the
Foothills Center for the Partially Sighted in Glendora, CA. While
attending optometry school Dr. Huff held several positions in
student government including president of the student association
and was actively involved in many different organizations. As
president of the student association, Dr. Huff had the opportunity
to represent the Southern California College of Optometry as a
delegate to the congresses of both the American Optometric Association
and the California Optometric Association. Dr. Huff's current
professional memberships include the American Optometric Association,
the Low Vision Section of the American Optometric Association,
and the Arizona Optometric Association.
Dr.
Robert Kanocz co-founded ViewFinder Low Vision Resource Center
in 1992. He graduated from Purdue University in 1973 with a Bachelor
of Arts degree. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry in 1982 from
the New England College of Optometry. He is a member of the American
Optometric Association, The Arizona Optometric Association and
The Low Vision Section of the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Kanocz remains dedicated to provide the highest standards
of low vision care. He attends low vision continuing education
seminars such as “Low Vision and The Pediatric Patient”,
a multi-day seminar at the Lighthouse Low Vision Clinic in New
York City.
Dr. Kanocz
has lectured on low vision topics at the annual “Visual
Rehabilitation and Technology Expo” in Phoenix, AZ and before
the Arizona Department of Economic Security / Vocational Rehabilitation
Counselors.
Janet
Menke is the Director of Occupational Therapy Low Vision Rehabilitation
Services for the Viewfinder Low Vision Resource Centers. EYE ON
Independence™ is the name of the rehabilitation division
and its purpose is simple: to teach patients how to use their
remaining vision and stay safely and functional in their home.
Janet has
practiced Occupational Therapy since 1978. She graduated with
her B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puget
Sound, with a double minor in education and psychology. She completed
graduate work towards her Education masters at Northern Arizona
University. Her career in occupational therapy has spanned many
areas including psychiatry, acute care, rehabilitation and home
health.
Janet is frequently invited to speak to community groups, physician
practices and professional organizations including the American
Occupational Therapy Association, the Arizona Occupational Therapy
Association and several Nursing Associations including the Arizona
Ophthalmology Nurses Association. She lectures at A.T. Still University
OT program and served as a clinical advisor for a research project
on the topic of Low Vision. Other accomplishments worth noting
include:

Appointment to the 2005 White House Conference on Aging.
- Co-authored
a training manual that later became the basis of a nationally
published book.
- Authored
articles for professional publications; edited and published
professional newsletter for over ten years.
- Involved
in numerous national and state professional organizations, holding
elected and appointed positions.

Member (2001- 2004) and chair (2003-2004) of the Arizona Occupational
Therapy Board of Examiners (ABOTE).
- Named Arizona
OTR of the Year in 1991 and 1993 for her contributions to the
